The Government of Ajman has unveiled a new initiative aimed at strengthening ties with the Indian travel trade sector. Announced on September 16, 2026, this ambitious program focuses on enhancing collaboration between Ajman and Indian travel agents and tour operators. It’s a strategic move to attract more Indian tourists to the emirate, which has been gaining popularity as a destination in the region.

    Strengthening Trade Relations

This initiative comes at a time when the travel industry is rebounding from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. By fostering deeper engagement with India-one of the largest source markets for tourists-the Ajman government hopes to revitalize its tourism sector. The program includes workshops, trade shows, and promotional campaigns designed specifically for Indian Travel professionals. Originally reported by Everything Experiential.

The Ajman Tourism Development Department has committed to working closely with Indian travel agents to provide them with tools and resources to promote Ajman effectively. “We are excited about this initiative and believe it will open new avenues for tourism growth between our countries,” said the Director General of Ajman Tourism Development Department.

    Attractive Packages for Indian Tourists

As part of the initiative, Ajman is set to offer a range of attractive travel packages tailored for Indian tourists. These packages will incorporate unique experiences that highlight Ajman’s culture, heritage, and natural beauty. For example, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional Emirati cuisine, explore historical sites, and participate in thrilling desert adventures.

Ajman has positioned itself as an affordable yet luxurious destination, making it appealing for Indian travelers. The emirate is already witnessing an uptick in visitors from India, and officials believe this initiative will further boost those numbers. “With competitive pricing and a variety of experiences, we aim to make Ajman a must-visit destination for Indian tourists,” the Director General emphasized.

    Leveraging Digital Marketing

In today’s digital age, online presence plays a crucial role in attracting tourists. To complement the new initiative, Ajman will enhance its digital marketing efforts targeting Indian audiences. This includes social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and collaborations with travel blogs that cater to the Indian market.

The focus will be on showcasing Ajman’s unique offerings through engaging content that resonates with Indian travelers. By utilizing platforms popular in India, the Ajman government aims to create awareness and interest among potential visitors. “We understand the importance of digital marketing in today’s travel landscape, and we’re committed to using it effectively to promote Ajman,” the Director General noted.

    Expected Impact on Local Economy

The initiative is expected to have a significant positive impact on Ajman’s local economy. With increased tourist arrivals from India, local businesses, especially in the hospitality and retail sectors, are likely to benefit greatly. Hotels, restaurants, and shops that cater to tourists will see a rise in demand as more Indian travelers choose Ajman as their holiday destination.

According to tourism experts, attracting Indian tourists is particularly important for Ajman, given their high spending power and interest in experiential travel. This new initiative aims to create a sustainable tourism model that not only increases visitor numbers but also supports local businesses and generates employment opportunities.

“We believe this initiative will create a win-win situation for both Ajman and Indian tourists,” the Director General added. “It’s about building a long-term relationship that benefits everyone involved.” The government is optimistic that by focusing on India, they can create a thriving tourism environment that will last well into the future.

As the Ajman government rolls out this new initiative, all eyes will be on the response from the Indian travel trade community. The hope is that strengthened ties will lead to a substantial increase in tourist numbers, positioning Ajman as a prominent travel destination in the UAE. With robust support from the travel trade, Ajman is poised to become a key player in the regional tourism landscape.
