Czech tourism is making significant strides in North India with a newly launched outreach campaign aimed at attracting more Indian travelers to its picturesque landscapes and rich culture. This initiative, announced on April 2, 2026, represents a strategic effort by the Czech Republic to promote its tourism sector and strengthen ties with Indian travelers. The campaign is set to roll out across major cities in North India, including Delhi, Jaipur, and Udaipur, showcasing the unique experiences the country has to offer.

Focus on Cultural Exchange and Adventure

The campaign, spearheaded by the Czech Tourism Board, aims to highlight the blend of historical charm and contemporary attractions in the Czech Republic. “We are eager to engage with the vibrant Indian market and showcase our rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes that appeal to adventure seekers and culture enthusiasts alike,” stated Jan Herget, Director of CzechTourism. The initiative will feature various promotional activities, including travel expos, social media campaigns, and partnerships with local travel agencies. Originally reported by The Times of India.

To draw attention, the campaign will emphasize experiences like exploring the historic city of Prague, with its iconic architecture and vibrant arts scene, alongside adventure opportunities in the Czech countryside. This strategic focus aims to cater to the diverse interests of Indian travelers, who are increasingly seeking unique and immersive travel experiences.

    Investment in Marketing Strategies

As part of this outreach, the Czech Tourism Board has allocated a significant budget of approximately $1 million for marketing efforts in the Indian market. This investment is intended to increase brand awareness and attract a larger number of tourists. The Czech Republic has seen a steady rise in visitors from India in recent years, with numbers increasing by nearly 20% year-on-year. In 2025 alone, around 50,000 Indian tourists visited the country, demonstrating a growing interest.

“Our goal is to double the number of Indian visitors by 2028, and we believe this campaign will pave the way for achieving that target,” added Herget. The marketing push will also include collaborations with influencers and travel bloggers to reach a wider audience and create engaging content that resonates with potential travelers.

    Tailored Packages for Indian Travelers

Recognizing the diverse preferences of Indian tourists, the Czech Tourism Board is working closely with travel operators to develop tailored travel packages that cater specifically to this market. These packages will include guided tours, culinary experiences, and even special events to celebrate Indian festivals in the Czech Republic. For example, packages that align with festivals such as Diwali or Holi will enhance the travel experience for Indian visitors.

This tailored approach not only aims to make travel more accessible but also enhances the overall experience for tourists, showcasing the Czech Republic as a welcoming destination for Indian families and solo travelers alike. Additionally, travel agencies in North India are being encouraged to promote these packages, further strengthening the connection between the two regions.

    Building Long-term Relationships

This outreach campaign is not just a short-term initiative; it represents a long-term strategy to foster stronger ties between the Czech Republic and India. The Czech government is keen to build on the existing diplomatic relations and enhance cultural exchanges that benefit both countries. Educational exchange programs, art exhibitions, and tourism forums are planned to further this mission.

“We believe that tourism is a powerful bridge between cultures, and through this campaign, we aim to create lasting connections between our nations,” noted Herget. By fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultures, the Czech Republic hopes to encourage more Indian travelers to explore its beauty and heritage.

As this initiative unfolds, the Czech Tourism Board looks forward to welcoming more Indian visitors and showcasing the enchanting experiences that await them in the heart of Europe. With a robust marketing strategy, tailored packages, and a focus on cultural exchange, the future looks promising for Czech tourism in North India.
